About TossTracker

From the first toss to the final 21, TossTracker keeps score, manages every round, and saves your games so no match is ever forgotten. Cancellation scoring is handled automatically. Just tap the result of each throw and play on.

Score on your iPhone, spread out on iPad, or leave the phone in your pocket and score from your Apple Watch right at the board. The game also lives on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, in Control Center, on your Home Screen, and in Siri, so the next throw is always one tap or one sentence away.

Whether you're in the backyard, at a tailgate, or running a casual tournament with friends, TossTracker takes the math out of cornhole so you can focus on the toss. Everything stays on your device: no accounts, no analytics, no network requests.

Scoring

Easy Scoring

Tap one of three buttons after each throw: In the Hole (3 pts), On the Board (1 pt), or Off the Board (0 pts). Scores roll up with a smooth animation, throw indicators show how many bags each team has left, and undo and redo sit right in the toolbar for when a tap goes astray. Optional sounds and haptics give you feedback on every throw, each with its own toggle.

Smart Round Management

  • Four throws per team per inning, with clear indicators for bags remaining
  • An arrow shows which team throws next
  • Cancellation scoring: only the team with the higher inning score takes the difference
  • A round summary banner with a Next Round button appears when the inning ends
  • The team that scored throws first in the next inning, or the same team again on a tie
  • Round history chips scroll back through every completed inning
  • First team to reach 21 at the end of an inning wins, complete with a confetti celebration

Your Teams, Your Colors

Name both teams (up to 24 characters each) and pick from 21 distinct bag colors, from Coral and Hunter Green to Plum and Turquoise. Duplicate names and duplicate colors are caught before the game starts. Played these teams before? Pick a previous team name instead of retyping it, from setup or from Edit Teams, and change names or colors mid game whenever you need to.

Set Up Once, Play All Day

A short walkthrough introduces the app on first launch, then a welcome screen puts Set Up Teams one tap away. Leave mid game and your match resumes exactly where you left it. When a game is won, Rematch starts another with the same teams and colors in a single tap, or Customize Teams swaps the players out. The toolbar's + button starts a clean game any time, always behind a confirmation.

Score from anywhere

Apple Watch

Score from the board instead of walking back to the phone. Three throw buttons sized to hit without looking, a compact scoreboard in your teams' bag colors, undo in the toolbar, and a Next Round button once all eight bags are in.

  • Mirrors your iPhone by default, so every rule is decided in exactly one place
  • Phone out of range? Tap "Score on this watch" and the watch runs the whole game on its own
  • Only one device owns the game at a time, so the two can never disagree about the score
  • Hand scoring back to the phone mid game, or take over from the phone if the watch goes quiet
  • Taps register instantly while mirroring and queue in order until the phone is back, with a status line showing how many are waiting
  • Haptics follow the same Settings toggle as the phone

Live Activities and Dynamic Island

The moment the first bag is recorded, a Live Activity appears. Nothing to turn on, and it ends itself when the game is won.

  • One card on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, in the Smart Stack, and in the Mac menu bar
  • Both team names in their bag colors, running scores, and a round badge, with the throwing team highlighted
  • Bag pips fill in as throws land: solid for in the hole, muted for on the board, hollow for a miss
  • A status line says who throws next and how many bags are left, then gives way to a gold trophy and the winner's name
  • Score without unlocking: In the Hole, On the Board, Off the Board, Undo, and Next Round live right on the card
  • Survives a relaunch, flags itself as out of date after four hours untouched, and leaves the final score up for a moment after the win

Siri and Shortcuts

Say "Record In the Hole in TossTracker", "Undo the last throw in TossTracker", "Start the next round in TossTracker", or "Start a game in TossTracker", in English or Spanish, with no Shortcuts setup at all. Siri answers with the new score ("Eagles 5, Hawks 3") and never has to open the app. If an action cannot be taken, Siri says why instead of quietly doing nothing. Record Throw, Undo Throw, and Next Round are available as Shortcuts actions too.

Widgets and Control Center

A Home Screen widget shows the game in progress, the final score of a match just won, or your last result. The medium size adds the head to head record for two teams, counted whichever side each of them played on, plus a one-tap Rematch. A Start Game control can go in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, or on the Action Button, and it only ever starts a game when nothing is mid play, so a stray tap can never erase a match in progress.

Spotlight

Finished games turn up in system search by either team's name, listed as "Eagles vs. Hawks" with the winner and score underneath. Tap a result to open straight to that game's details. The index keeps itself in step as games are saved, deleted, or cleared, and your games are available in Shortcuts with an Open Game action.

Built for iPad

In a wide window the scoreboard and throw buttons sit on the left while the whole game's round history runs down a panel on the right, each round in the winning team's bag color. Tabs become a collapsible sidebar, and every orientation is supported. The layout follows the window rather than the device, so a narrow Split View or Slide Over keeps the single column. Open a second window and it shows the same live game, not a second one.

History and stats

Every Game, Saved

Every completed match is saved automatically with team names, final scores, the winner, round count, bag colors, and date. Browse your history newest first, sort by date or round count, and filter by today, this week, this month, or by team name. Delete individual records whenever you like. If a game ever fails to save or restore, TossTracker says so and offers to try again rather than letting a score quietly vanish.

Statistics Dashboard

Flip the history view over to a card based dashboard: overall win percentage for each team, plus a read on the starting advantage that shows how often the team throwing first in round one goes on to win the match. The progress capsules and the gauge animate as the numbers load, and every one of them is labeled for VoiceOver.

The Whole Story of a Match

Tap any completed game for a full breakdown of how it was won.

  • A Match Outcome header with a golden trophy on the winner's side
  • A score progression chart plotting both teams' running totals round by round, in their own bag colors
  • Average points per round, highest single round, shutout rounds, and round win percentage for each team
  • A round by round list with the winner of each round called out

Powerful Search

A dedicated search tab finds any past game by team name, score, date, or number of rounds. Your cornhole history, instantly searchable.

CSV Export

Share the games on screen as a CSV from the history toolbar, with your current sort and filters respected. One row per round carries the date, both team names, final scores, winner, and round count alongside that round's individual scores, and dates are written as ISO 8601 so the file drops straight into a spreadsheet. Send it by AirDrop, Messages, or Mail, or save it to Files.

Details that matter

Accessibility, Audited

  • VoiceOver labels and hints on scores, round numbers, throw indicators, scoring buttons, and round history
  • Live Activity bag pips read as one spoken summary of the round instead of four unlabeled shapes
  • The score chart reads each point as the team, round, and running score, and VoiceOver can play the whole chart as an Audio Graph
  • Dynamic Type throughout, with the round column, the rules point values, and the win percentage ring scaling instead of clipping
  • Reduce Motion, system wide or in app, skips every animation that is not essential
  • Automated accessibility audits run against 13 screens, from onboarding to game details

English and Spanish

Every screen is fully localized in English and Spanish, down to plural forms ("1 punto" and "3 puntos") and the Siri phrases, so spoken commands work in Spanish too.

Sound and Haptics

A tap and tock when a throw is recorded, a success haptic when a round completes, a celebratory haptic and fanfare with the confetti when a team wins, and a warning tap before anything destructive. Sound and haptics are both on by default, toggle independently, and preview themselves when you switch them back on.

Tips in Context

Features introduce themselves when they become useful rather than being crammed into onboarding: undo and redo after your first throw, Rematch when a game ends, mid game team editing once a round completes, and previous team names once there is history to draw on. Each tip appears at most once.

Settings and Rules

Edit team names and bag colors mid game, override your system appearance (System Default, Light, or Dark), toggle sound and haptics, clear all history, or reset everything to defaults, each behind a confirmation when it matters. A built in rules reference covers equipment, distance, scoring, gameplay, and winning. The About section shows the app version alongside links to the privacy policy, App Store reviews, and support email.

Private by Design

Your game history lives on your device. There is no backend, no analytics, and no network requests of TossTracker's own. Privacy manifests in all four bundles (the app, the widget, the watch app, and the complication) declare no tracking and no collected data. Your games move only where you send them: a CSV through the share sheet, an email to support, or a snapshot to your own watch.

Looks Right Everywhere

Full light and dark mode with adaptive system colors and a manual override in Settings. Icons come from Apple's SF Symbols with hierarchical rendering for real depth, buttons and sheets follow native styling, and everything scales with Dynamic Type. Portrait and landscape on iPhone, every orientation on iPad, and a tab bar that minimizes as you scroll to keep scoring distraction free.
